New BOI Office in Thailand and Saudi Arabia to Strengthen Economic Ties

RIYADH (NNT) – Thailand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maris Sangiampongsa, recently met with Khalid Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, in Riyadh. The meeting coincided with the opening of Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) Office in the city, strengthening economic ties between the two nations.
During the discussions, Minister Maris expressed gratitude towards Saudi Arabia for its ongoing support of the BOI’s initiatives. The two ministers reviewed the outcomes of commitments set during Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin’s previous visit to Saudi Arabia, focusing on deepening investment ties in key areas such as healthcare and food security. These sectors are considered essential for the sustainable growth of both countries, offering substantial opportunities for collaboration and shared benefits.
Maris also affirmed Thailand’s readiness to host the inaugural session of the Saudi-Thai Coordination Council this coming October. The council is expected to become a key forum for continuous dialogue and cooperation, further enhancing the partnership between the two countries.
The opening of the BOI office in Riyadh highlights Thailand’s and Saudi Arabia’s commitment to boosting investment opportunities and driving economic growth and prosperity in both nations.
