Incident Report: Thai-Cambodian Border Clash on July 28, 2025

According to the report from the 2nd Army Area Operations Center, the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border is summarized as follows:
Cambodian forces launched multiple BM-21 rocket attacks across several fronts, particularly at Hill 677, Phu Phee, Pha Mor E-Daeng-Preah Vihear, and Phu Makua.
Meanwhile, the movement of the PHL-03 multiple rocket launcher system was detected near Samrong Airfield, Oddar Meanchey Province.
Thai forces responded proportionately based on threat level, engaging strategic targets at Chong Bok, Chong Ahn Ma, Ta Kwai Temple, and Ta Muen Thom Temple.
Cybersecurity threats were detected: Cambodian hacker groups infiltrated various Thai government agencies through CORS and NCDC systems. Cambodian forces were also found planting landmines in forward areas; Thai forces have inspected and secured these zones.
Thailand’s official military channels firmly rejected Cambodia’s false allegations that Thai forces had violated Cambodian territory or used chemical weapons in military operations. These allegations are entirely baseless and constitute a serious distortion of information.
Ta Muen Thom and Ta Kwai Temple Areas: Cambodian forces were observed maintaining efforts to seize and control the area, with reinforcements continuously moving from interior regions toward the front lines. There were also reports of friendly fire incidents by Cambodian troops in the areas of Chong Ahn Ma and Pha Mor E-Daeng.
Humanitarian Measures – The Royal Thai Armed Forces, in collaboration with the Provincial Public Health Office and related public health agencies, have planned to support displaced persons in Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Three shelter centers have been established with medical services and community clinics operating under strict humanitarian principles.
