BANGKOK (NNT) – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has expressed gratitude to Chinese Premier Li Qiang for his congratulations on her recent appointment as Thailand’s Prime Minister.
In a message on social media, Paetongtarn acknowledged the solid and enduring relationship between Thailand and China, noting the close ties and mutual respect that have long characterized the two nations’ partnership.
The Thai premier affirmed her commitment to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Thailand and China, with a focus on deepening cooperation in various areas. She also looked ahead to the upcoming 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025, expressing her eagerness to celebrate this significant occasion alongside China.
Paetongtarn stressed that the upcoming celebration would provide both sides with an excellent opportunity to address regional challenges and foster economic growth as both nations navigate an increasingly complex global landscape.
