PM Anutin and FTI Explore Strategies to Enhance Thai Industry


Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul met this morning (Sept 15) with Kriengkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and the FTI executive board to discuss plans to strengthen Thailand’s economy and review proposals on industrial promotion and support measures.
Discussions addressed a range of issues affecting the Thai industry, including the FTI’s “4GO Policy” framework, preparation for the impact of new U.S. import tariffs, and liquidity problems facing small and medium-sized enterprises. The group also raised solutions for border trade challenges, measures to support entrepreneurs, and the effects of the Thai baht’s appreciation on the industrial sector.
The Prime Minister and his delegation also shared perspectives on how the government and industry can respond to pressures at home and abroad. Both sides acknowledged the urgency of tackling structural challenges while preparing for shifting global conditions.
Anutin stressed that cooperation between the government and the private sector will be vital in keeping Thailand’s economy resilient and ensuring that its industries remain competitive on the international stage.
