PM Discusses with Salesforce President on the Key Role of Digital Transformation

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra recently met with Sabastian Niles, President of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Salesforce, at the Davos Congress Center during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025.

The discussions centered on accelerating Thailand’s digital transformation and exploring opportunities for collaboration between Salesforce and the Thai government.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of advancing Thailand’s digital economy through joint initiatives. The Prime Minister emphasized her government’s commitment to sustaining digital economy policies, promoting green energy, and attracting foreign investment. She highlighted that Thailand received 4.8 billion US Dollars in digital infrastructure investments last year, including data centers, underscoring the country’s growing appeal as a hub for technology development.

The Prime Minister invited Salesforce to participate in the government’s Cloud First Policy, aimed at modernizing public services and enhancing digital literacy among civil servants. She also stressed the importance of empowering women and youth through digital skills training to meet future workforce demands.

Discussions also touched on supporting SMEs, and digital startups, and integrating cloud services and AI technologies as critical components of Thailand’s economic transformation. Salesforce’s executives praised the Prime Minister’s vision and expressed their readiness to contribute to Thailand’s goals by expanding digital public services, promoting technology adoption, and collaborating on initiatives such as reducing plastic pollution.

The Prime Minister expressed optimism that a closer partnership with Salesforce would drive the growth of Thailand’s digital economy and contribute to regional development.
