On November 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the center stage of Srinarong Stadium, Surin Province, within the event “The King is forever in the hearts of Thais, the wonders of Surin Elephant Roundup 2025,” Surin Province organized the 3rd Miss Surin Silk Contest for the year 2025, with Mr. Praphas Srichanwiang, Deputy Governor of the Province, Acting Governor of Surin Province, presiding over the opening ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Wirachai Prasertso, Deputy Governor of Surin Province, along with the Surin Provincial Secretary, the Vice President of the Surin Red Cross, government officials, the private sector, members of the public, and tourists. The atmosphere was lively and filled with the colors of the precious Surin silk.
This year’s contest saw 34 beauties from every district and organization participate. The contestants wore silk dresses that reflected the unique patterns of silk from each region of Surin Province, brightening the stage with the colors and gracefulness of handwoven silk.
The objective of the Surin Silk Beauty Pageant is to promote the identity and wisdom of Thai silk weaving to be popular and recognized internationally, as well as to support the use of Surin silk in fashion, ceremonies, and cultural tourism.
This event not only showcases the beauty of the beauties, but also reflects the pride of the weavers, tailors, and silk-producing families who work together to preserve the local wisdom of Surin Province and ensure its continued beauty.
