Government House Hosts Miss World Champion

Miss World 2025 winner Suchata Chuangsri was formally received by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra at Government House in Bangkok today (June 17). The Thai Khu Fah Building opened its doors for the occasion, recognizing her historic achievement as the first Thai woman to win the Miss World crown and honoring the international recognition it has brought to Thailand.

The meeting included a policy-level discussion that touched on Suchata’s advocacy for gender equality, access to education, and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. These topics align with Thailand’s national priorities, and the government expressed its intent to integrate relevant perspectives into future policies.

Officials described the visit as a moment to recognize Thai soft power on the global stage, with Suchata viewed as a strong example of the modern Thai woman who is intelligent, socially engaged, and culturally grounded. The Prime Minister acknowledged her achievement and expressed support for women’s participation across all sectors of society.

The Premier also reiterated her support for advancing gender equality and empowering the younger generation, stressing the importance of creating space for women to contribute meaningfully to national development and international engagement.

The event was broadcast through official communication channels to share the occasion with the public. The government expressed hope that Suchata’s success would inspire young people across Thailand and encourage greater civic participation, especially among women.
