The Prime Minister has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to bolstering the exhibition industry, with the goal of attracting more investment and driving economic growth through international events and exhibitions hosted in Thailand.

Today, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra welcomed executives from leading international event organizing and planning companies at Government House. They are in Thailand to participate in the Exhibition Industry Summit 2024, organized by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to supporting the business sector through policies that streamline operations, promote infrastructure development, and establish Thailand as a strategic hub for all types of international exhibitions.

Event organizers assured the Prime Minister of their intention to expand investments in Thailand, including the potential establishment of regional headquarters in the country. They attributed their confidence to Thailand’s preparedness and the supportive environment created by the government and relevant agencies.

Officials from TCEB are optimistic that government backing will empower the international exhibition industry to drive trade, foster innovation, stimulate economic growth, and attract additional foreign investment. This, in turn, will generate more jobs for Thai citizens and position Thailand as a leader in exhibition organization both regionally and globally.

Government spokesman Jirayu Houngsub announced that the government is working on a new One Stop Service system to facilitate the organization of exhibitions, highlighting Thailand’s strength as a supply chain hub.

He noted that international exhibitions present a valuable opportunity for Thailand to strengthen its business relationships with world-class partners.
