BANGKOK (NBT WORLD) – The government has launched a One Stop Service (OSS) center to help Thai exporters respond to new U.S. trade measures. Deputy Spokesperson Anukool Pruksanusak announced that the new center will be operated by the Ministry of Commerce to support businesses of all sizes, from small and medium-sized enterprises to large exporters.
The establishment of this new unit follows the United States’s imposition of a 19% reciprocal import tariff on goods from multiple countries, including several key Thai exports. To help mitigate the impact, Anukool said the OSS, located on Ratchadaphisek Road, will provide tariff consultations, relief and remedial assistance, market intelligence, cost-reduction solutions, and advice on expanding to new international markets.
The center currently supports services offered by 12 agencies, eight under the Ministry of Commerce and four external partners, including the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Central Islamic Council of Thailand, the Customs Department, and the Export-Import Bank of Thailand. Plans are underway to bring in personnel from agencies such as the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Federation of Thai Industries, and the SME Association to expand its range of services.
According to Anukool, the OSS combines immediate relief with long-term measures to help Thai exporters stay competitive in global markets. Services are available through walk-in consultations, and extended weekend hours are being considered. Exporters can also seek assistance by calling the hotline at 1169 or +66 2-513-1909.
